THis historic restaurant is one of the city’s oldest and most famous establishments. It is a favorite iwth local and national celebrities who enjoy the great steaks, fresh seafood, salads and pastas with excellent services at honest prices. John’s Grill was a setting in author Dashiell Hammett’s “The Maltese Falcom.”

The restaurant’s interior is a masterpiece of original period furnishings, remaining a tribute to old San Francisco, as well as providing a vertual museum of authentic mrmorabilia. The dark oak paneld walls are co vered with photos of well known patrons and San Francisco of the past. John’s Grill was chosen as one of the 10 Best by Esquire and Featured in Gourmet Magazine.
