Sadly, Morrow's, a landmark practically for so many years has closed.

Morrow's Nut House, the tiny specialty store which has been located just off Union Square for 70 years, is succumbing to the changing marketplace, buyer demographics, and nut sale trends.
My father wanted us to answer the phone, 'Morrow's Nut House - Nuts to you,' " said Jim Morrow, whose grandmother started the nut houses in the city.
There may be smaller retail stores in the city, but there are certainly none more crowded with knick-knacks, off-beat food items and nostalgia. There was a time when Morrow's was an automatic stop for downtown shoppers. You should have seen them in those days.
"I used to come here with my grandmother in the '50s," said Barbara Payne, who stopped in Monday for a last visit. "We wore white gloves and hats."
